Immigrating to Canada permanently is an exciting opportunity, Skilled Class immigrants are people who can become permanent residents because they are able to economically establish in Canada with their education and work experience which will help them to settle down and make a home for themselves as permanent residents in Canada. Applying for Canadian immigration as a skilled worker is a complicated process, you must be able to provide all the necessary information and documents as requested otherwise your application will be rejected on the grounds of insufficient points due to the lack of required information and/or documents. Skilled worker is defined as a person, who has at least one (1) year of paid full-time work experience within the past ten (10) years in one of the occupations listed below, and can now immigrate to Canada in 9 to 12 months with the introduction of new Fast Track Immigration Process introduced by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the list is subject to change from time to time depending on the high demand occupations.

| Your application to come to Canada as a skilled worker will be assessed on six selection factors and a point system. The six selection factors are: |

• your abilities in English and/or French, Canada’s two official languages
• your work experience
• your age
• whether you have arranged employment in Canada
• your adaptability i.e blood relations resident in Canada

| You must also show that you have enough money to support yourself and your dependants after you arrive in Canada, and pass a medical examination and security and criminal checks. These selection criteria are as follows: |

| What is Quebec-selected Skilled Workers Program : |
The Quebec Provincial Government and the Government of Canada have an agreement that allows Quebec to select immigrants who best meet its immigration needs, under the Canada-Quebec accord on Immigration, Quebec is able to establish its own immigration requirements and select immigrants who will adapt well to living in Quebec. The Quebec Skilled Workers Program uses completely different criteria for selecting applicants on the likelihood of successful economic and social integration. You whole family become eligible for Canadian citizenship and passports after completion of three years cumulative stay in Canada.
To come to Canada as a Quebec skilled worker, the applicant must first apply to the Quebec government for a Certificat de sélection du Québec. (Selection Certificate of Quebec), Quebec Skilled Workers are not assessed on the six selection factors of the Federal Skilled Workers Program. The Quebec Skilled Workers Program uses completely different criteria for selecting applicants on the likelihood of successful economic and social integration.
Once the applicant has been selected by the Province of Quebec, a separate application for permanent residence has to be submitted to Citizenship and Immigration Canada for further processing for permanent residence for Canada leading to Canadian Citizenship and passport after completion of three years cumulative stay.
The Quebec Skilled Workers Program is much faster and flexible , and you do not need to show too much money for initial settlement. and there are lot more opportunities in Quebec in-comparison with other provinces in Canada
