Ontario makes up 40 per cent of Canada’s total economic output and more than half of the country’s manufacturing shipments. In recent years there has been a big shift towards producing exports, especially in areas such as information technology, and the automotive and chemical industries.
The Ontario Provincial Nominee Program For Business is designed for businesses or businessmen who are prepared to make an investment in the province. The business person is required to control, or plan to control at least 33.33% of the equity in a business, or make a business investment of at least $1,000,000.
General Requirements
- Invest minimum CAN$1,000,000 in a new business.
- No minimum personal net worth required.
- Be actively involved in the day-to-day management of the business.
- Business ownership experience, or experience in a senior management role.
- Comprehensive business plan
- The investment must create at least five permanent full-time jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents in Ontario.
